US v. Thompson - 5 Years for Cyberstalking

Link here to the government's sentencing letter in US v. Thompson, a cyberstalking prosecution involving some truly egregious [alleged] conduct (calling in bomb threats; filing false court papers; false public accusations of STIs) against an ex-romantic partner.

Cyberstalking is a federal offense, 18 U.S.C. 2261A, and those who come under the glare of the FBI and cybercrime divisions of the US Attorneys' offices pay a hefty price.  The defendant here pled guilty.  He was sentenced to 60 months -- a guidelines sentence.
